Great little downtown gem under new ownership. One of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch in Saint Joseph.

Delicious sandwich and soup, friendly staff, and ample comfortable seating. The prices are very reasonable for a downtown lunch. I wish the lemonade were “real” instead of from a jug and that done-in cups were reusable, but those details don’t diminish the excellent food!

Coffee and breakfast this morning. What a quaint little place and a charming atmosphere. The coffee was delicious. The new owner, Sydney, greeted everyone by name when they entered and knew what the regular customers wanted. Loved it!

This shop does still exist, they had a fire and had to rebuild...the mock-chicken sandwich and tomato soup is fabulous!!! I completely love and recommend Pony Espresso!! The post local art for sale and have such nice decor, the owners are wonderful also!!

Cute coffee shop. Chai was good, cinnamon roll was YUM (&bug enough to split)! There was comfy furniture and games available too. Give this place a try!

Delicious coffee, tea, sandwiches, and most importantly: SOUP. Their daily specials rock my world. Sydney (The magnificent owner) is always extremely welcoming & friendly as well as her incredible staff!

Friendly and comfortable, the cafe and staff make you feel instantly welcome while you enjoy your delicious food and beverage. The art display changes throughout the year and is always interesting. They participate in "First Saturdays" and are a definite local favorite!

This place has really good coffee. I forget its here, since I'm not always in the downtown area, but its lovely.

Cozy atmosphere. Friendly service. Even friendly customers! I stopped in for a hot tea and quick bite for breakfast. The no-bake granola bar I chose was absolutely heavenly! I will be going back!

Decent enough coffee

I always enjoy going to Cafe Pony Espresso and checking out their specials. The coffee and food is always on point and the service is TOP NOTCH! I highly recommend that everyone comes by and enjoys this downtown gem!

The coffee is pretty bad. I got an Americano. I didn't drink it. It tasted like a bad drip coffee. The guy behind the counter was nice and friendly and the environment is a cool little spot.I think the espresso machine either needs calibration or something else. The coffee certainly didn't come out right. I felt bad wasting a whole cup but I couldn't drink it. These seem like good folks, I'm sure they will get the issue fixed.

Quiet place with calming environment. Health conscious menu items that will satisfy any vegan or vegitarian. Knowledgeable staff. Locally arts focused with handmade goods for sale and monthly artist displayed. Great place for coffee and conversation away from the hectic rush of the Belt highway.

Wonderful coffee shop, delicious coffee and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my next visit.

DARLING! When pulling up you see coffee cups dancing in the window right next to the more often than not available curbside parking (or it's a quick skip) if you happen to be enjoying all of the cool/ unique shops in Downtown St. Joseph*The owner and staff are so accommodating and welcoming - whether it be opening the door because your hands are full, or perfecting my most obnoxious drink order - they are always doing their best to help make it a better day in any way that they can. When you do get in the front door, before the great service - it feels like if you squint just right, the space could have been a bit modernized alternate set form F.R.I.E.N.D.S... There's always a featured artist, books on the shelves, some easy listening ambience, even the customers have a welcoming feel.. Sincerely, A bias patron telling you to treat yourself and try it!

I love this place. The owner and her staff are friendly and helpful. It's a great place to get homework done or work on my novel.

After having a sort of thin cappicino last fall, I've been back twice. Charming, lovely, laid back place. Sandwichs are very, very, good. Soups are homemade and tasty, especially on cooler days. They have gluten free snacks, and they make a mean cup of black coffe. You gotta go! Love it.

Neutral review can't review something I haven't tried. Closed last time for a private function, and closed again at 530 on a Monday maybe some other time I'll get a chance to review them.

Very laid back. Not the best stop if you're in a hurry but a great place to hunker down.

Now that google local is mapping to addresses, we found the open cafe! It's been 2 years since we first looked for this place unsuccessfully. Among the 4 of us, we purchased 3 coffees, a smoothie, 3 sandwiches, and chips w/guacamole. All very good.

The best place to hang and enjoy healthy food

An OK coffee shop. Locally owned and operated. They do host interesting local events sometimes. I try to go to locally owned places whenever I can rather than chains, but this one can be time consuming to access, unfortunately, due to parking problems downtown, which is no fault of theirs. :/ (star rating not based of parking problems)

The other day, I had a crustless quiche. It was MMMMMM it was good. 👌 Excellent prices, why would you grab breakfast anywhere else?
